The Cookie Thieves
“There is no light.”
“But I want one cookie.”
“I can’t see!”
“The candle.”
“There is no match.”
“In the drawer.”
“Found it!”
“Here. Take only one.”
“Umm..”
The mother laughed
silently, watching her sons steal cookies in candle flame.
Aww, cute kids :) I wonder how many they ate before the mom revealed her presence.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteMay be 3-4. Mom wouldn't want them to fall sick, right? :)
“But I want one cookie.”
ReplyDeleteIsn't it always the way? Always with the feeding!
Yeah! I am the same :)
DeleteHow cute! I'd be worried they might burn themselves or worse, something else. Haha
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteThe worries of a mother! :)
I love how she's right there, but lets them have their adventure!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I would say is the use of 'one' when the child says they want 'one cookie'. It sounded a bit awkward and I think 'a cookie' would have worked better? Other than that I loved the mischief here!
ReplyDeleteThank you. :)
DeleteI had to stick to the given prompt and hence used the word 'one'. It had to be there between the words 'light' and 'candle' to qualify.
And yes, a cookie sounds a lot better. :)
