The End of Spring

The unexpected white cloud
softened the hot sun rays,
on a lazy sunday noon,
in the month of May.

The blooming magnolias,
the rustling dogwoods,
have fallen silent today,
sensing, the end of spring.

The colors began to fade,
the fragrance began to dull,
the flowers on the path, began to wither,
to symbolize, the end of spring.

The spring-dust was no more,
time just flew by,
and, I, never even noticed!
It is the end of Spring!!

Restless Solace

The poems knocked on his door
urging him to come out,
to meet and greet,
the arrival of spring.

Slowly, opening the door,
searching for the caller,
he saw, separating him and the mountains,
was a mist of spring dust.

He spent the day walking
in and out of the house,
again and again, lost in thought,
unmindful of the drizzling rain.

Uncaring about his duties,
he walked all over the place
restless, yearning for solace.
Why, I asked him,

See the birds, he said,
chirping and flying, from tree to tree,
in search of peaceful spring,
just like me!!!

The Mystic Slab

Anyhow! The spring has arrived,
settled, the cuckoo is asleep,
uncaring, on a lazy afternoon.

Among the roads, the bridges,
the buildings, clustered in the city,
I noticed a lost ancient country.

In the spill of glorious sunlight,
I slowly began recognizing,
the secret mystic slab I own.

Taking help of a worn-out map,
I began my lonely adventure,
to search for the treasure, unwanted.
