The Solitary Leaf
Lying in the shallow water pool
barely rippling the surface,
looking brown and wrinkled,
waiting patiently for its friends to join,
thought the solitary maple leaf:
"My end is the beginning of new life.."
Painting by Mrs Ratna Pochiraju
