Into Oblivion

Credit: Ratna Pochiraju

In the murky waters
No one to stop his mission
Toiled he tired old soul
On his way to a distant destination
Only his wise eyes could fathom;
Birds flew, away from his boat
Leaving him to sail off
Into the dark mist
Vaporizing life as it spread its arms
Influencing and inviting the old man
Over and over again to embrace its gift, for
Now was his chance to escape this cruel world.

  2. I just googled Acrostic and woah this is brilliant. It's difficult to form a word relating to the poem and make the poem so beautiful

    1. Thank you so much, dear. It's an alluring word, I agree. Vague and mysterious.
