Barrel of Grapes

Credit: Ratna Pochiraju

Juicy grape
Bunch leaning over
Green against the brown barrel
Inviting me to pluck and pop one
Bite into the juicy flesh
Ecstasy flowing
In my veins.

#######

Note: A Hexacore style poem. Looks like a barrel (without grapes). ;)

Not much but we have to keep the syllable count 3-5-7-9-7-5-3 in mind. The frame is tight.

  8. Nice poem SR.

And thanks for mentioning the style of poetry you followed. Is it 3-5-7-9-7-5-3 in terms of syllable structure?

This is really useful stuff for budding poets among your followers!

    Do drop by mine.

    Cheers,
